Memorial Lecture
Guruvayurappan Institute of Management organized the Founders’ Day Programme, in memory of the founder Chairman, Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad, Former Chairman, SGECT and Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. V. Pylee, Former Chairman, Governing Council, GIM on 15th March 2019. This year, the Memorial Lecture was given by Shri. K. Harikumar, Managing Director of Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd, Udhyogamandal, Cochin. He talked about “Careers 2020 and Beyond”. Shri K. Harikumar in his lecture discussed that “business are changing fast. To keep pace with these, managers must keep changing their styles and Strategies”.
Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM, presided over the function. Dr. N. Maheswaran Bhattatirpad, Treasurer, SGECT, reminiscenced the late Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad, his brother as a Medical Practitioner by profession who was a Philanthropist and also a very versatile person with varied interests. He was keen in contributing to the well being of the under-privileged of the society. Very much involved in social activities, he had also served as the State Working Committee member of IMA, Kerala.
Dr. U. C. G. Namboothiri, Chairman, SGECT, reminiscence the late Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. V. Pylee who lead the Institute from the front. He left a great legacy for the Institute to follow, to continue to be the excellent Management Institute it is today.
Dr. Harish U. C, Asso. Professor, GIM, welcomed the gathering. Dr. N. R. Narayanan, Asso. Professor, GIM, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
