Ms. Gracy Thomas, Manager – Client Accounts, KG Information System Private Ltd, inaugurated the Twelfth Edition of the mega event ‘GIM FEST 17’ by lighting the lamp on 03rd March 2017 at the GIM premises. In her Inaugural address, She highlighted the need for students to be prepared appropriately and adequately, to get placed in good organizations. “Such competitive events viz. GIM FEST will help MBA students to test their skills and improve them” she said.
Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM delivered the Presidential address. Ms. Neethu P, II MBA, Student Co-ordinator, welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Sujatha, Faculty Co-ordinator introduced the event. Mr. P. Avinash, II MBA student, coordinator of the GIMFest’17 proposed the Vote of Thanks.
GIMFest, the Annual Inter-B-School Meet conducted by Guruvayurappan Institute of Management (GIM), is a mega-event where aspiring managers from major B-Schools of South India conglomerate. It is designed to provide a platform where future corporate leaders get to compete with each other to fine-tune and hone their diverse managerial skills. This event is organized by the students of GIM but they do not compete in the games.
The Theme for this year was “CEREBRO 2K17” – make the right move.
About 172 students from 20 B-schools from different parts of the country took part in this event. The Event started at 10.00 am and the various events, with series of rounds, were conducted simultaneously in different venues. The finalists of these events clashed for the title in the auditorium.
The major events conducted were –
· REY – Best Manager
· OBISPO – The Marketing Game;
· CABALLO – The Logistics Game;
· REINA – The HR Game;
· TORRE – The Finance game;
· SOLDADOS – The Best Management Team, and
· FIANCHETTO – Case Study
· ENROQUE – Business Quiz
The daylong event concluded with a valedictory function at 4.30 pm, when the Winners, Runners up and Participants were presented with the Cash Awards and Citations. Dr. S. Sujatha, the Faculty Coordinator, and Ms. Neethu P, II MBA, and Mr. P. Avinash, II MBA Student Coordinators ensured that the programme was conducted in an excellent manner.
