Management, as a science and as an art, has become very intricate and has today manifested as an integral part of our daily lives. Prof.(Dr.) Thomas T. Thomas
An alumnus of School of Management Studies (SMS), Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT), Cochin, he took his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and subsequently his Ph.D in Management from the same University. He also has a PG Diploma in Public Relations and Journalism.
His work experience of over three decades, spans both Academics and Industry. He was a Consultant in Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation, Cochin at the start of his career. He then joined the Faculty Team at Center for Management Development, Trivandrum and was there for eight years. Subsequently he was Senior Manager, Market Research & Corporate Services in ASIANET Satellite Communications Ltd., Trivandrum. He also had an eight year stint abroad as Project Manager in a reputed organisation in the Middle East.
His areas of interest are Marketing, Retail Marketing, Sales-Force Development, Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development. He has conducted a series of Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Management Development Programmes for the Industries. He has participated in National and International Conferences and is also a resource person for programmes in Management and Faculty Development. He has published articles in National Journals and the press and has also prepared Course materials for a post graduate programme of IGNOU. He is currently a Research Guide for PhD. and M.Phil., with the Bharathiar University.
In 2006 he joined Guruvayurappan Institute of Management, Coimbatore and is currently the Principal. Passionately focused on developing a younger generation of competent and equipped managers for the corporate world, he relentlessly works to enhance GIM’s eminence as a Centre of Excellence in Management Education and Research.
Dr. S. Sujatha
Dr. S. Sujatha has completed her MBA and M.Phil. from Avinashilingam University with Human Resource Management and Hospital Management as her areas of specialisation. She also holds a Doctoral Degree in Management studies from Bharathiar University which in turn has kindled in her a profound interest in research. This facilitated her to publish research articles in National and International Journals.
She has also participated and presented research papers in National and International Conferences and Seminars. Her interests in psychology lead her to gain a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology from Bharathiar University. A part of her Thesis was published as a book by Lap Lambert Publishers, Germany.
She is driven by her passion for teaching. Over 14 years of teaching and two years of industrial experience make her an effective academician in the field of management education.
Dr. N.R. Narayanan
A Graduate in Commerce and MBA with Marketing and Finance as specialisation from Bharathiar University, he has more than three years of experience in FMCG industry and fourteen years in teaching at MBA level. He has completed his PhD programme in the area of Marketing Management under Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has participated in various Faculty Development Programmes and Workshops organised by reputed B-Schools and also presented papers in National Level Conferences. His area of interest is Marketing Management and he is handling papers including Retail Management, Brand Management, Promotion Management, Rural Marketing and Services Marketing.
Dr. Vinod Urath
A Graduate in Mathematics and an MBA with specialization in Marketing and Quantitative Technique, he has seven years of experience in Consumer Durables and Electronics Industry. He has fourteen years of teaching experience and is NET Qualified. He has completed his Ph.D in the field of Marketing under Bharathiar University. He is currently handling courses including Integrated Marketing Communication and Brand Management. He has also developed and published many Case Studies. He has been the Co-ordinator of GIM Journal of Management since its inception in 2006. He has also published Articles in National and International Journals of Management. He has also presented Papers in Management Conferences conducted by different Management Institutes.
Dr. U.C. Harish
A Mechanical Engineer with MBA in Operations and System Management from GIM, Coimbatore, and Ph. D from Anna University, he has fourteen years of teaching experience and three years of Industrial experience as Project-in-charge. His areas of interest are Operations Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management and Strategic Business Management.He has qualified UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) having participated in the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in 2009. He has also participated in various Faculty Development Programmes and Workshops at leading Management Institutes and has organized a National Level Conference. He has published articles in National Journals. He is the Management Representative overseeing the ISO 9001:2008 requirements of the Institute. He is a member of the Senate of Bharathiar University.
Dr. C. Vinotha
A graduate in Commerce and an MBA (Finance and Marketing), MPhil and PhD in Management, she has 13 years of teaching experience and 3 years of industrial experience in a reputed NBFC. She is qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET-UGC) for Lectureship. Her areas of interest are Financial Services, Cost Management, International Financial Management and Equity Research. She has organized and as well participated in various National and International Conferences. She has published articles in National and International Journals of repute. She has completed an AICTE sponsored research project as Co-Principal Investigator and is passionate in doing research of social relevance.
Prof. Krishnan Unni Nair
A Post graduate in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune & a PG Diploma in Management from Pune University, he has 23+ years of hardcore experience in Shipping & International Logistics working with some of the well known Multinationals in the Logistics industry holding senior managerial positions before shifting to academics. He is a well known in-house & professional trainer for International Logistics & Soft Skills. He is a well-versed communicator & has held independent charge for overseas Buyer/Agent communications. Apart from the above skills, his areas of interest include Personality Development.
Prof. M.Divyashree
An MBA with Human Resource Management and Marketing Management as her areas of specialisation, she has four years of teaching and one year of industrial experience.She has participated in various Seminars, Faculty Development Programmes and Workshops organized by reputed Colleges and has also presented papers in International/National Conferences.
She qualified in UGC- SET in the year 2012. Her research interest in human psychology has driven her to do Masters Degree in Applied Psychology from Bharathiar University.
Prof. J. Meena Maheswari
J. Meena Maheswari has completed her MBA from PSGR Krishnammal College of Management Studies, Coimbatore and did her M.Phil from Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
She holds 6 years of teaching experience and an intense corporate experience of 10 years.
Her business and entrepreneurial engagements gave her an opportunity to explore innovative business strategies. Her passion towards teaching and her corporate experience makes her an effective academician to impart corporate knowledge to the budding management executives.
Prof. Rajkumar Narayanan
A graduate in Computer Application and an MBA specialised in Logistics and Shipping Management from Indian Maritime University, Mr. Rajkumar Narayanan has conducted various training programmes for schools and undergraduate students on various management areas. Prior to GIM, he worked in industry as well as in a few other management schools. His core competency is in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Prof. Baggam Seshu Sailendra
Baggam Seshu Sailendra, with 5 years of industry experience in marketing of financial products and 9.5 years of teaching in management, is specialized in finance and marketing. He can communicate in six languages. He completed his MBA under Bharathiar University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Management. His research involves the technical analysis of 10 years data of bank nifty and nifty. He has presented and published papers in national and international Conferences and Journals. He had initiated the Unnat Bharath Abhiyan scheme at Tiruchengode. He has coordinated many programmes on Entrepreneurship and also has organised awareness camps on Entrepreneurship for the final year students of arts, science, polytechnic and engineering. He has also conducted a Faculty Development Programme on Communicative English jointly sponsored by MHRD and IIT, Mumbai.
Prof. Srinivas M B
An MBA with specialization in Finance and Marketing from Guruvayurappan Institute of Management (GIM), Coimbatore. He has over 12 years of industry experience in Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI). He got placed in Geojit Financial Services as a Management Trainee from GIM. Later on, he moved to HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. He has worked for Axis Bank for over 8 years in Retail Branch banking (Liabilities Department), before joining as Branch Head ESAF Small Finance Bank. After a brief stint as Branch Head he moved to pursue his passion for teaching. He holds JAIIB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. His areas of interests include Equity Research, Stock Markets, Mutual Funds and allied Financial services.
N.S. Nithya
Assistant Professor (BBA, MBA)
A Postgraduate with MBA, she has specialized in Human Resource and Finance. A Gold Medalist from Guruvayurappan Institute of Management, she had always nurtured her dream of a career as a Teacher. She holds a degree in BBA and a Diploma in Airline and Airport Management. While the Campus Placement Drive of GIM brought her five lucrative placement offers from different organizations, she has chosen to join GIM as Assistant Professor.

Assistant Professor (BE, MBA)
A Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation, Sankar holds an MBA with specialization in Operations Management and Marketing Management. After substantial involvement in advertising and digital marketing, he moved to engineering industry and worked as Production Specialist, gaining much experience in the operations arena. With a robust passion for academics, he has joined GIM as Asst. Professor.
