“For a successful career, students must be observant, inquisitive, involved and smart learners”, said Father M. Maria Irudaya Nathan, Secretary, Bishop Ambrose College, Coimbatore while inaugurating the U.G. Management Meet – “ASHWAMEDHA 2017” for the graduate students, at GIM on 10.02.2017.
The U.G. Management Fest is a South Indian Management Meet hosted for the undergraduate level students to bring out young minds to showcase their managerial talents and test their skills. This one day event includes a series of competitions which challenge the personal preparedness, managerial skills and knowledge of the students. They will be tested on their knowledge base and strengths through a series of energy packed experiences. This event, organised by the students of GIM, will be a professional event aimed at bringing out the inherent managerial talents of the energetic youth.
Mr. Mahesh M, II MBA, Coordinator, GIM, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM presided. Ms. Athira Ashokan, II MBA and Mr. Bhavish Bhaskar, I MBA and Ms. Praveena Nair, student Coordinators felicitated. Ms. C. Vinotha, Asst. Professor, GIM briefly introduced the theme. Ms. Praveen Nair, I MBA, Student Coordinator, thanked all the participants for attending the one day event.
About 204 students from 20 colleges from different parts of the country took part in this event. The Winners, Runners up and participants were presented with attractive Prizes and citations.
A variety of games including Marketing Game(TRAVELLER), Logistics game(RIDE TO PRIDE), System Game (TROJANS), Finance Game(ARISTROCRAT), HR Game(CHETAK), Treasure hunt (THE BLACK JACKS), Best Management Team (BLACK STALLIONS) and Best Manager (VAYUJITH) etc., were conducted.
At the Valedictory function, Mr. Bhavish Baskar, I MBA student, welcomed. Excellent Feedback was given by the participants of UG Fest. Ms. C. Vinotha, Asst. Professor, GIM, delivered the Presidential Address and summed up the proceedings of the day. Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM delivered the Valedictory Address and distributed the Certificates to the participants. Ms. Athira Ashokan, II MBA, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
