The 20th Annual Day of Guruvayurappan Institute of Management was celebrated on 5th March 2016 in the GIM Campus. Mr. K. Ravi, Chief Financial officer, Roots Group of Industries, Coimbatore, was the Chief Guest. Mr. K. M. Sankaranarayanan Namboothiri, Vice Chairman & Secretary GIM welcomed the gathering. Dr. U. C. G. Namboothiri, Chairman, SGECT, welcomed the gathering, Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM presented the Annual Report of the Institute. Prof. K. P. Sankaran Unny, Member, Governing council, GIM, Mr. P. Mohanan, representing parents and Mr. S. Jayadev S. Menon, Representing Alumni Association felicitated.
Mr. K. Ravi, Chief Guest in his address stressed on the importance of Dedication, Determination and Discipline, that will help a person to succeed in life.
Ms. Ayswarya, 2013-‘15 Batch received the EMERITUS PROF. Dr. M. V. PYLEE ENDOWMENT GOLD MEDAL, (Instituted by Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. V. Pylee, Chairman, Governing Council, GIM for the topper of the MBA Exams (I & II Years ) in GIM, she was also awarded the Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad Memorial Award for the outgoing student of the year (Instituted by the SGECT in memory of the late Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattarhiripad.
Ms. Haritha S. P, 2013-’15 Batch received the GOWRI AMMA MEMORIAL GOLD MEDAL instituted by Prof. K. P. Sankaran Unny, Member, Governing Council, GIM.
Ms. Aswathy P. S and Ms. Krishnapriya K. Kumar of 2015-’17 Batch received the ‘K U G Poduval Smaraka Award’ instituted by Prof. P. R. Poduval, Former Director, GIM for being the toppers in first semester paper ‘Organisational Behaviour’.
Ms. ASWATHY P. S. ( MBA 2015-’17) received the Ever Rolling Trophey instituted by the Finance Club of 2013-’15 for being topper in the first Semester Paper ‘Financial Management & Accounting’ in the MBA Examinations in December 2015. Merit Scholarships were awarded to students in the first and the second year, based on their performance in the university examinations. Eleven students received merit scholarships for their excellent performance in the University Examinations. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Ashique John, President, VISION, the Students’ Management Association. Later, Cultural Programmes were presented by the students, which made the evening colourful and entertaining.
