Ms. Krishnapriya and Ms Vasanthi Vijayakumar inaugurated the One day Cultural Programme ‘Sargotsav 2019’ by lighting the lamp on 15th February 2019 at GIM Campus. Sargotsav is the Cultural Event organised every year at GIM, which gives an opportunity for the students to exlplore their inner talents. This program is being designed in two segments such as On-stage and off-Stage events. Off stage being conducted are Essay writing, Handwriting, Story writing, Poem, Craft-making, Mehandi, Painting, Vegetable printing etc.,
AFFIATUS ’19 – “PARIVARTANA”
Ms. Sudha Purushothaman, President of Women Business Enterprise Development Association(WOBEDA), Coimbatore inaugurated Affiatus 2019 –“PARIVARTANA” by lighting the lamp on 1st February 2019 at the GIM Campus. In her inaugural address, she highlighted the efforts of the WOBEDA to promote entrepreneurship, by providing training to women entrepreneurs. She mentioned that managers are motivated to initiate business as their career option. She also stated that the Committee members of the association are acting independent in fostering women entrepreneurs and encouraging them to break social barriers. She influenced the GIM students to learn and gain knowledge about their interest towards the particular business as to proceed as entrepreneur.

Harikumar in his lecture discussed that “business are changing fast. To keep pace with these, managers must keep changing their styles and Strategies”.

It was a proud moment for GIM family to pay tribute on the remembrance day of one of the most renowned and honoured person “Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam”. The program was well organised at GIM Campus. The Programme started at 03.15 pm and the entire GIM family including the head of the Institution Dr. Thomas T. Ms. P Susila, Branch Manager, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Coimbatore, gave a very vibrant lecture on ‘Latest Development in Banking Services’ reaching out to the young crowd which represent the future of India. She discussed on the latest developments in banking services of the past eight months. She classified her subject into three subheads to ensure the reach of the interaction to the audience.

In a colourful event, GIM students opened their Shopping stall, GIM SHOPPEE on 26th August, 2017. The SHOPPEE has been a place for the students to hangout and party with ice creams, toffees, chocolates, soft drinks and snacks for so many years now. This year too GIM SHOPPEE is opened with lots of new items in store for students to taste.

The Students, Faculty and Staff of Guruvayurappan Institute of Management marked the First Death Anniversary of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, at the GIM Campus on 27th July 2016 at 03.20 pm to pay their tribute to the ‘Missile Man of India’. The GIM family rose together and observed a minute of silence and saluted the honourable leader on his remembrance day.
