A two day Intra-collegiate Management Meet Affiatus ‘16 named as VirAJ:’’War of excellence’’ was inaugurated by Mr. Saswadan Ranjit, State Head for Sony Mobile, Kerala, on 5th February 2016. He urged that the students should have the right attitude, involvement, a definite goal for success and networking skills and have to work with dedication. Mr. Biju John, Senior Consultant, Intergene, Newzealand also attended the programme and he reminded that students should set their priorities, develop practical knowledge and should use the college as an incubation unit to define their careers.
The Affiatus ‘16 is being organized by the Students of Guruvayurappan Institute of Management which proves the organizing skills and managing abilities of the GIM students. The event was successful by being a very good platform for the students where they coordinate various management competitions and students participate as teams as well as individually.

Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM, presided over the Inaugural function. Ms. C. Vinotha, Asst. Professor, spoke about the Management Meet – Affiatus ’16. Student coordinators, Ms. Akshaya M, II MBA, welcomed the gathering and Mr. SajinVincent , II MBA, GIM proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The event is being conducted on 5th and 6thFebruary 2016. In the first day, the management events conducted are Business quiz, Communication game, Marketing game, HR game and Best Management team. In the second day, events being conducted are Business plan, Debate, Logistics game, Finance game and Best Manager. The event is expected to be successful in making the students polish their skills and showcase their talent.
