Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad Memorial Lecture
Guruvayurappan Institute of Management organized the Founder’s Day Programme, in memory of the founder Chairman, Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad on 15th March 2016 which is his Birthday. In fond memory of this versatile and dynamic professional and educationist, this was the fourth Lecture of the memorial lecture series. This Lecture is being held every year. Persons of eminence are invited for the Lectures.
This year the Memorial Lecture was given by Prof. Simon George, Professor, TAPMI, Manipal. He talked about “Value Creation in Services”. Prof. Simon George in his lecture discussed the importance of the Service Sector and how it contributes to the GDP. He highlighted the different elements of service that needs to be fine tuned, so that service products can have increased value and how customers can be kept happy.
Dr. U. C. G. Namboodiri, Chairman, SGECT, presided over the function. Dr. N. Maheswaran Bhattatirpad, Treasurer, SGECT, reminiscenced the late Dr. N. Krishnan Bhattathiripad, his brother as a Medical Practitioner by profession who was a Philanthropist and also a very versatile person with varied interests. He was the President of Lions Club and the Indian Medical Association, Guruvayur. He was keen in contributing to the well being of the under-privileged of the society. Very much involved in social activities, he had also served as the State Working Committee member of IMA, Kerala.
Dr. Thomas T. Thomas, Director, GIM, welcomed the gathering. Mr. K. M. Sankaranayanan Namboothiri, Vice Chairman, SGECT & Secretary, GIM, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
